Apple's 13-inch iPad will reportedly debut in March

This is one of those rumors that we really wish would die, but it still keeps popping up. It surfaced last in May of this year, when a rumor suggested Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad was on schedule to launch sometime next year. The often-correct news site, 9to5Mac labeled the rumor ridiculous, but a new rumor today suggests that the device is in testing.

A king-sized” iPad device is reportedly being tested in Apple’s Taiwanese manufacturing plant FoxConn, Apple Insider is reporting, citing a Chinese media news site. The latest reports were published by PadNews.

The Apple 12.9 inch iPad is expected to be released next year and a report is saying that tests are already happening at Foxconn and that the product is coming in March next year. As usual, we advise you to take everything with a grain of salt, if possible. However, the latest leaks concerning Apple tablets, especially the iPad Air, since all the components that hit the web were the real deal.

The company is said to be targeting a March 2014 unveiling for the "iPad maxi" which would expand past its 9.7-inch iPad and the 7.9-inch iPad mini. The large tablet would be more powerful and could become Apple’s second-largest revenue driver after the iPhone, Mr Reitzes said. Specifications for the new tablet weren't named, but the rumour comes as Samsung is said to be releasing a Galaxy Note tablet similar in size.
